About Me
I was born in 1983, Tehran, Iran, the first child and only son of a middle class family. My mother is an experienced principal who has a brilliant talents at communication to adolescents, doing artistic jobs such as poetry, singing, and coordinate cultural-educational festivals for K-12 students. My father serves as a mid-level manager in National Iranian Oil Co. and always has had outstanding devergent ideas for his entourage. Having studied in NODET(National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents) secondary schools for 6 years, where the students' own interests in particular fields of science were more highly regarded than their attendance at scheduled classes, at the time I was attracted to participating in Mechanical Eng. department. Perhaps the charm arose from my conception about Mechanics as a world of creation rather than a world of observation; inspiring to me that unlike the isolated world of science, technology is firmly tied to our real world. Though I had a successful experience in that field and soon became the head of department, won prizes in some national and domestic festivals for my handmade projects among students; I realized that inanimate objects arent challenging enough to satisfy my mind. Fortunately, I soon found that human issues are much more challenging and complicated than other fields; it was somehow traceable in my background, mainly because of my desire to change the others lives rather than my life being changed by others.Ranked 33rd among more than 500,000 participants of the National Universities Entrance Exam, 2001, I chose Education as my major and entered Faculty of Psychology and Education where no student had ever entered with such a high rank. I was among talented students of UT during B.Sc. and M.Sc. and easily entered Ph.D. program in Curriculum Development. Simultaneously, my experiences in various fields of Educational Sciences began as a consultant, teacher, human resources advisor, educational game designer, curriculum developer and researcher in some organizations, training centers, schools, educational complexes and universities. As a result, I actually touched creation and formation in educational sciences where I could create rather than observe and be effective rather than be affected.As soon as I was convinced that Iranian universities wont be capable enough for me to progress anymore, In 2011 I moved to the US and joined a doctoral program in department of Elementary and Social Studies Education (ESSE), The University of Georgia which was ranked as the 5th program in Middle School Education nationwide. ESSE I also serve as a graduate research assistant. ESSE's friendly atmosphere in addition to academic competences helped me to adapt and join research projects very soon.In 2005 I got married to a great artist, Soudabeh. She was a senior student in Theater. We first met at the annual meeting of a political associalion where we both were actively contributing in. Soudabeh is one of exceptional talents whom one can ever meet. Her artistic jobs are so various that she plays different musical instruments, writes plays, TV scripts, and short stories for children. She also is an scholar in dramatic literature having many publications, presentations, and has translated prestigious books into Persian. Her artistic delicatopn as well as her exemplary will always were motivating and assuasive for me.
